Do you work with genAI?
Fuck genAI.
I will never work with it and won’t work with authors who use it for any part of their writing and marketing.
Do you offer sample edits?
Yes, I offer sample edits up to 1,500 words.
Just tick the box in my inquiry form.
Why do you only offer developmental edits?
English is my second language, and even though I’m fluent, there may be grammatical mix ups. I’m not perfect.
Also, I like to throw commas around like Tic Tacs or use none at all.
So, no. Sentence level edits are not my tea. Never will be.
But since developmental edits take place on a story level, I ace this.
Storytelling is the same in every language which makes it so beautiful.
Why do you only work with spicy romance?
Spicy romance is so much more than just spice or smut.
It touches and shows emotions and relationships on an entirely different level.
I’m very passionate about this.
I’m also very good at this, editing spicy scenes, to make them impactful and meaningful for the entire story.
I do what I do best. And that’s romance, and spice, and dev edits.
What is a ‘pass’?
A pass is a complete read through of Your manuscript.
My Dev Edit Light includes 2 passes, which means I work through your manuscript 2 times. The first time is to get familiar with the manuscript and take first notes. The second time is to leave in-text comments regarding the big picture and take notes for my editorial letter.
My full Dev Edit includes another pass. During this third pass, I’ll read through your manuscript for a final time and review all my notes and in-text comments to make sure my editorial feedback is in the best shape possible.
Communication after submission
I’m an anxious girlie myself, so I totally understand if silence makes you nervous.
I’ll check-in up to three times before your manuscript is due for submission and like to stick to two check-ins per week after submission.
That way you’re always in the loop and anxiety can just STFU.
Do you offer payment plans?
There are always 3 installments:
25% upon signing the contract, 50% upon submitting the manuscript, 25% upon receiving my feedback.
If you need more installments, let’s talk! We can figure something out.
How can I pay?
Invoices are issued via Stripe. A number of Payment Options Are Available.
Sadly, you CANNOT pay via paypal.
Paypal tends to mark international payments as suspicious and keep holding the money up to 180 days before paying it out.
Since this is a significant part of my income, I cannot wait that long to receive my money.
